Its simple.
We get:
MBP updates and maybe MB updates
10.4.8
Movie Store
6G iPod (not touchscreen) & Nano updates
One More Thing....Media streaming device (Cube re-incarnation) or headless tower (unlikely)
Thats it.

Where did you get that I'm not in the 288 camp ? That is the proper answer, the equation is not ambiguous.
I know you are in the 288 camp. It's odd we agree but don't at the same time!
You say the answer is 288.
I say the likely answer is 288.
I can't go so far as to say the answer is 288 as I don't think it is correct to take / at face value. I don't think that is what the author intended.
EDIT- Just noticed my avatar shows this! People using horizontal lines not diagonal. Feel silly I didn't notice earlier!

Who cares? I thought this was macrumors not android news...
I also thought it was Macrumors and not iPhonerumors :)
Macrumors is just the name of the site, whatever "rumors" get posted just have to somehow relate to Apple I guess.

Shame people are brainwashed by Apple with their crappy product, and the superior tablet is behind on sales. Im sure it will pick up soon.
why is it a shame? because everyone isn't buying what you're buying?
just enjoy what ever you like and be thankful that you have choices.
please support motorolla, please support apple and everyone else.
these really are just glorified toys for adults but people talk about them like theyr'e the holy grail.

i just want to make sure what the rules are, because it makes a significant difference in terms of keeping track of what might or might not be out there.
for example, by my count, in one round you could deploy one goblin (one turn to get a point, one to deploy), by yours, you deploy two (point and deploy each turn).
also, can you heal and deploy trap/monsters at the same turn, from the Lair?
can you accrue points while moving/healing?
it's the beginning of brand new game, so it's normal the rules are seen in different ways and need some fine tuning in how they are worded.
You insolent fool! How thick is that blockhead of yours! ;)
Out of character again:
Understood and I agree about knowing the rules. From your questions above I still think you are a little confused. Don't think of a turn as consisting of earning a point. Think of the round as starting with the addition of 2 points. Then I must decide what to do with those points and I can take two turn/actions (opportunities to spend points) in that round.
So:
can you heal and deploy trap/monsters at the same turn from the Lair?
Not in the same turn, but in the same round. One turn/action to heal costing me one point and then a second turn/action to deploy a monster based on my accrued point total. So just like you guys, I get one round consisting of two turns/actions.
can you accrue points while moving/healing?
As stated above I accrue 2 points for use at the beginning of each round. If I chose to move in that round it would cost me 1 point/turn of the two I have available to me in the round. If I also chose to heal in that round it would cost me 1 point/turn and I would have exhausted my two turns/actions in that round. However, by the rules the villain can only heal when he is in the Lair with the artifact, so I couldn't actually move away and still be able to heal myself.
I think the easiest way to think of it is each round the villain gets two turns/actions. These turns/actions cost the villain points to execute. The villain earns 2 points at the beginning of each round to add to his point total available for spending during that round. The only way to carry over points from round to round is to not take action with points available and thus they will be added to point total available for the next round.

I'm only "hung up" on that because that's what everything points to right now.
The current betas of Lion are simply DMGs with install files.
Because they're developer previews. Their sole purpose is to get them quickly into the hands of devlopers who can determine if their apps "break" under Lion and fix them, as well as to get some feedback from those same developers about the look and feel of the new OS. The distribution method, as it stands now, is not necessarily one for consumer use.

For some strange reason you think monopolies are good for consumers.
Actually, this is more of a situation of a monopsony in play where there are multiple sellers of various components but only a single buyer. This, in turn, locks out other buyers from being able to leverage price efficiencies and limits the competition from achieving an upper hand price wise.

umm....that magazine add looks rather real to me. WTF?
on another note, Vodafones 3G network here in NZ has video calls as standard on every phone they sell for the network. Its not revolutionary, they have had it since December last year. It doesnt cost any more than a regular mobile to mobile call. oh, and the person calling is the only one who pays (the fact that americans pay to answer a call is insane).
They also have an itunes sized music library that you can browse and download to your phone ( its 3.50NZD per track, which is about $2 USD). Its quite popular seeing as Apple has chosen not to have an Itunes store in New Zealand. They have sold hundreds of thousands of ipods, but there is nowhere to download songs legally. stupid huh? :(
We pay full retail for most phones, but we aren't locked into any sort of contract. And to the person who said txting should be banned from apples phone: why call someone for ten times the price of a SMS text when you dont need too?

I fear the only server we will get will be an iPhone server with App store only deployments. Those things make money for Apple and would be similarly as emasculating as showing up with a MacMini for your data centers.

Making it free would be a smart move by Apple. It would help bond iphone users more effectively to Apple ecosystem.
At the moment, I don't use the MobileMe service (though I'd like to have findmyphone and perhaps back to my mac services) but if I had it free, it would be a thing that would make it less likely that I would switch to RIM/WIN7 or Android.
Does anyone know if the Windows version of this similar service bundle is free?
EDIT: From MS
# How much does the My Phone service cost? It's free! Except for a few optional services, Microsoft does not charge for use of Microsoft My Phone. However, your mobile operator may charge for data usage so please ensure that you have an appropriate data plan. If you are unsure of your data plan coverage, contact your mobile operator.

I'm only "hung up" on that because that's what everything points to right now.
Except that NOTHING points to that right now. There has never been an OS for sale on the app store before. Assuming that it will be handled exactly the same as an app is lunacy.
This reminds me of the thread a couple weeks back about FCS where the "professional experts" were all ranting because they assumed that since only Final Cut was shown it meant all the other apps in the suite were discontinued, and assumed that any feature that wasn't shown in the presentation was removed from the app.

A friend of mine heard from someone who works at Rim that they and Apple are working on a phone! If I thoght that this news would do anything to Apple or Rim stock, I would not be telling you. I already own Apple and cannot see Rim's advancing any more than a few points on the news.

Every platform has issues and my guess is that Apple's less-than-stellar response time to exploits and the ever-rising Mac marketshare means that our time with no viruses/malware is going to come to an end. I'm glad there's a free solution out there and I'll be more than happy to try it out.

Am I the only one who thinks it's not a big deal? Your carrier tracks your phone all the ff-ing time. Google has the SSL beta now, but until recently they tracked your every move.
And with the patriot act the telecos let the government move in and access data without warrants. Yet everyone seems fine with this. However, the instant your phone has a database of cell phone towers it is something nefarious. Sigh. It really would be nice if the real privacy concerns were addressed and not this low hanging fruit of a cache on your phone.

Intel said they expect Merom-based machines to be available for purchase toward the end of August. What's this about Apple receiving a large shipment of CPUs in September? They'd be a month behind the rest of the market by the time they started delivering systems. Intel said they were shipping Merom when they announced their earnings for last quarter.
They could be shipping computers with Merom end of August, IMO maybe even earlier.
Recieving large shipment in September may indicate they are going into other computers to be ready for Paris (mini, MacBook, who knows).

I feel like im taking crazy pills...I think theres some confusion as to my feelings on the topic. Apple SHOULD include a discrete GPU in all of it's PRO Macbook line. Period. If you want a more exotic upgrade, fine. But to give a high end, expensive notebook integrated graphics is pure rubbish! Now, does Apple make more money by their status quo? Absolutely. Is is the right thing for the consumer? NO.

No kidding. I wouldn't mind paying the fee every year if they'd just make MobileMe web-mail work worth a damn. SO slow...freezes up constantly. It's pretty much an every day thing, I have to refresh my browser or just close it completely and log back in, because a page I click on simply won't load.

it still illustrate the mechanics, but it does introduce confusion. that's why i had dropped it in my re-write. the second example is clearer
