Nokia has floundered in the smart phone market for 14 years and couldn't get it right. The last four years of those 14 Nokia was up against Apple and couldn't get it right. Now since the smart phone market is where the growth is at, Nokia needs to get it right or become irrelevant except in the bottom end of the phone market where the profit per unit is really tiny.
You might want to check your dates, Nokia released the first smartphone in nine years ago. Where did you get 14 years from?
The 7650 was released in it supported multitasking, it had a camera, it took video, it supported 3rd party apps, it supported MMS, and custom ring tones, bluetooth file transfer. Apple stuggle to support any of those when they released a phone.

Amazing price for the Shuffle,
Yeah, $79, which is probably worth 50 Euro, so Apple will sell it in Europe for a mere 99 Euro, I guess

Then will you address the thousands that wanted the EV1 at that time?
Perhaps it was people with money, or say, people with the future in mind.
And not profits based on fossil fuels, and planned obsolescence.

She may, or may not, have exercised poor judgement. We do not know.
He, definitely and 100%, was a homicidal tool. We do know that. He admitted as much.
Only one person is guilty.

too bad 3 people will have to die in a chinese jail to protect apple's trade secrets (or rather, secrets that were intended to be revealed a few months later)
Yeah, real shame people get arrested for breaking the law

If Apple does want to go MVNO, it makes perfect sense to chose cingular. They have the largest digital network in the U.S... perfect for downloads...
Here comes the iPhone..
Cingular sucks. If Apple goes with them, it will be a huge mistake.
7 weeks till our Cingular contract's up!

Just called apple. He said that anyone who orders today will not see their ipad till after Apr 26th. I ordered mine on the 15th it's ships on the 21st arrives on the 26th. Haven't seen a change in my shipping date. Hopefully I'll get bumped up eventually.

so they are shipping the Kinect with: a power cable, an usb cable and this Kinect port cable ?
why not simply ship it with power cable + usb and save on the manufacturing of an extra, special cable and designing a whole new connection port on the motherboard ? not to speak of confusion for customers
Save on cable and plug cutter. I'm all for that. I don't think it will be anymore confusing than having to plug in the sensor bar for the Wii.

But you know what s/he meant, right? Yes, it's a much-anticipated second generation of a phenomenally popular game, released simultaneously on PC, Mac, XBox 360 and PS3.
Lol yes I know he meant Mac ;)

I'm pretty sure you don't live here... every illegal immigrant that enters England pretty much gets to stay 90% of the time. My tax money goes to housing them, giving them a car, and whatever else they desire.
It's misguided Daily Mail-esque rubbish like this that will eventually lead to a bunch of extreme right wings (BNP) assuming power. That's when this country is screwed.
Although fair's fair, you're not racist, just wrong.

Has anyone tried it on a Core2Duo+320m machine yet, such as a unibody Mac mini? I don't playing in a lower resolution if I can get at least 30 FPS.
Going to buy it soon, so I hope I can tell it soon. I think to run the game smooth most of the settings should be put around medium on a Mac mini. And I hope there is going to be cake!

even thou it can be spec'ed that way, it has an empty 2nd socket.
And your point is?
Back in 2009 The Register (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/04/11/microsoft_flames_macs/page2.html)specced up an SP 5500 and a Mac Pro
Mac Pro $2,499
Dell T5500 $3,630
So for over $1100 less you could get a Mac Pro instead of a Dell. A bit like getting a Mercedes that costs less than a Hyundai. :D

I suspect magazine publishers are betting on the fact that we'll eventually forget how cheap printed magazine subscriptions used to be -- kind of like how we forgot that phone bills used to be around $20/month and a cup of coffee was 50 cents. When customers reject a new price point, companies simply pull back and patiently wait till our memory fades a little more.

When is Apple going to figure out how to implement software patches instead of forcing people to download a whole copy of the OS for every little update?
Yeah, ~700MB a time is getting really daft. I can't believe they couldn't find a better way to do this.
It's typical of Apple though, assuming everyone in the world has the same internet connection that they do.

Hopefully the premium will come down in price now, if not at retail, then at least second hand as a flood of old 360's come onto the ebay and from the people who simply must have the best of everything.
Is there anyone who's actually struggled with the current size hard drive? Will I have any use for such a huge hard drive if I don't actually use it as a media centre?
Anyway, I much prefer the white 360. Though neither are as ugly as the PS3.

It sounds like you just ripped that directly from a George Carlin routine.
I don't know where I have it from, but the name George Carlin sounds familiar. The part you're quoting has been lying in the back of my mind for quite a while. If it's identical to something that Carlin has said, then it's probably not a coincidence.

For those with beards and home knitwear, and who like a bit of cask beverage, may I recommend The Brewery Tap in Chester, UK (my home town).
It's owned by local independent brewery Spitting Feathers and has their own products plus plenty of guest ales. It's situated in a magnificent Jacobean great hall, part of Gamul House, where King Charles I stayed in 1645 during the Battle of Rowton Moor (which he lost), prior to losing his head.
....
Imagine how history would have been different if Charles had stayed away from the ale taps the night before..... :D

Well despite the nations sudden obsession with cricket just recently, I for one still have no idea how it all works :p ...but hey, it's nice for us to win something for a change :D
I have to say its fairly easy to understand.. ;) Hell, I didn't know how many balls in an over before this series, now I'm a seasoned pro.... :p

Thanks for the review!
I guess they would have to start releasing what I consider "real" games for it, before it becomes even remotely interesting to me.
(I'd also have to own an XBox I guess....but at least this is a problem I can remedy myself - the lack of games out of my control!)

Uhm, what is everyone talking about?
Obviously it's not network traffic, because apple isn't going to provide us with a better "network" traffic service.
Also, why is everyone bringing up turn by turn?
The better "traffic service" likely means that Apple will be able to know the speed of vehicles on the road, and from that decide how well traffic is moving through a specific highway. That way if someone wanted to open up the maps application and see what traffic is like, they could see this because there could likely be enough people on that road with iPhones reporting traffic movement. This data is reported to Apple and they will respond back to that map user with the current traffic flow.
Google already does this (http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2009/08/bright-side-of-sitting-in-traffic.html), and since Apple purchased a mapping company while ago, I assume they are just doing the same.
