I rerally hope it is more than Aperture 2.0. The displays were recently updated, so... I am lost
There is the possibility of 24" display and iSight built in. This is a photo show. May also see a modified MBP with the Meron and a built in Memory card reader.

Ummm.... Didn't most of the early iOS jail breaking methods target holes in OS. Sure more grey hat than black hat but risk is there to be aware of regardless of platform.
That may be true, but the monitoring of the app store does decrease the chance of malicious apps making their way onto the device. Is it perfect? No. Is it safer than Android? Yes.

There are people trying to paint this as though any tablet or mobile phone is similar to the rest so Apple has no case. Not true. Apple is suing one company for a copy so close that it is hard to see the difference.

Except that ColorWare paints the products (AFAIK). A red iPod nano from Apple would be red anodized, not red painted.

They're going to use a stripped down box connected to a TELEVISION to do things like send email and surf the web??? :eek: By making that box a full fledged computer, you just tripled the price at least. What a horrible idea. If you're going to spend the money on a computer, why not make it useful as a computer instead of wasting money by using it only to play back TV programs? And with your proposal, how does someone watch TV while someone else is surfing the web?

I know if I saw someone flying up on me I might flash my brake lights (not slow down but flash them) to get them to slow down and back off. Force them to see me and people see brake lights they tend to slow down. I have gotten people like you to smoke their tires before. Mind you I was in the left lane. Had a semi truck to my right and I was going threw a pass. They come flying up on me and get on my bumper. I press my brakes just hard enough to cause the lights to come on but my speed stays the same. They smoke their tires and give me some breathing room. Works every time to get people to back off.

After I signaled her again, she brakechecked me, then proceeded to do under 55mph on a 70mph highway in the fast lane. When she did that, I passed her, waited till there was a car on her side and then slammed on my brakes, forcing her into the service lane, in order to avoid hitting me.

It could be a cash cow for Apple, if it does sell 25-million phones. People want stylish phones - look how the ROKR took off (sadly, now everyone has one, it's considered naff...) - so that figure seems realistic if the product is right.
I hope the Apple phone will be 3G. Is there any indication of this? Surely Apple wouldn't go with the old 2G technology.

It's September. There's three months until Christmas. Apple wont wait that long around this time of year without holding another consumer based event. What will the event be about? Or more importantly, what products will be at this event? Well there will be one product, one major one. The iPhone�. It's coming, and my bet is, it's coming before Christmas.

It depends how you look at it.
Some may be voting "Positive" on the fact that the security guard survived the shootout and the robbers were thwarted, or perhaps because they feel justice was served. Or they could be voting in reaction to the arguably heroic actions of the guard.
Likewise, people may vote "Negative" for the fact that a life was lost, or are expressing their opinions against gun crime, or against the crime itself.
tl;dr The ratings don't mean much for this story.

There's going to be a problem when PC manufacturers get a hold of this if Apple doesn't realease a mid-tower to compete. Conroes are faster than the Meroms in the iMac as it is, but with quad cores they'll wipe the floor with them at multi-tasking.
Surely Conroe needs to go somewhere in Apple's lineup? Great value, fast and soon to be quad-core.

Why not just make a Mini type box with 802.11n with DVI/HDMI/S-Video and Digital/Analog out ports.Connect that to the tv then stream from your computer or the movie store.While we're at it toss a hefty HD in the mini for recording.
There's no point in having a hard drive, why would you even want it if you can stream in real time from your computer? And why make it a "mini" size box when it can just be something tiny enough to hold AV outputs?
